We don't bore you with endless descriptions of what equipment we have and how we produce great sounding recordings. (For those interested, click on the Equipment button above.) The most important element of recording is the performance, so we provide a relaxed and fun evironment so that you can give your best. Just leave all the technical details to us!

The Studio
Our studio consists of two rooms - a sound-treated room for the artist and a control room where the engineer twiddles the knobs. After each "take", artists are invited to listen via the monitor speakers of the control room. The artist has the final word on how the project is to sound.

|
We take the consultative approach and like to understand the project before we go anywhere near equipment. Whilst in the process of recording, we will offer as little or as much advice as you like.

Funky Phil maintains that the best recording is produced when the artist is in his/her most comfortable zone. To this end, he tries to ensure that artists are comfortable before they begin and does not pressure them if things go wrong. All the artist needs to do is concentrate on the performance. Philip will do the technical bits and what results is a great sounding recording.
