The quality of home recordings is quite staggering these days, especially with the lowering of the cost of great sounding equipment. After finishing your home recording, it is sometimes difficult to be objective about the final sound - does it have 'commercial' quality?
Our mastering service helps you ensure that your records are given the 'sheen' in order to sound 'commercial'. There are two main techniques that we use: equalisation and maximisation. Equalisation helps to make the music sound full, whilst maximisation helps the music to sound 'louder' when it needs to.
In addition to these techniques, we can help all tracks to sound sonically equal. This means the listener will not have to keep turning-up or -down the volume whilst missing.
We charge £25 per hour for this service. As an example, a 12-track album would take up to 3 hours.
